UAE | District Cooling | Conference & Workshops

November 17 @ 8:00 am November 18 @ 9:30 pm

DBDH invites Danish companies to save the date for a Danish district cooling delegation visit to the UAE on November 17–18, 2026.

The visit is organized by DBDH in cooperation with the Royal Danish Consulate General in Dubai and will focus on business opportunities, technical exchange, and direct dialogue with key district cooling stakeholders in the UAE.

A fast-growing district cooling market

The UAE district cooling market is experiencing strong and sustained growth, driven by rapid urbanisation, increasing demand for energy-efficient cooling solutions, and national sustainability targets.

Installed district cooling capacity reached approximately 4 million refrigeration tons (RT) in 2024 and is projected to grow to around 5.68 million RT by 2030.

Dubai remains the leading market, accounting for more than half of total capacity. The city has also set a strategic target of meeting 40% of its cooling demand through district cooling by 2030.

Together with continued expansion in Abu Dhabi and across the GCC, this makes the UAE one of the world’s most mature and attractive district cooling markets — and a strong entry point for Danish solutions within energy efficiency, system optimization, and integrated urban infrastructure.

What to expect

The delegation visit will include:

  • Meetings with leading district cooling companies, developers, and decision-makers, including expected dialogue with actors such as Empower, Tabreed, PAL Cooling, Emaar District Cooling, and Sobha Cooling
  • Technical workshops and site visits
  • Networking reception at the residence of the Danish Consul General and Head of Mission
  • Participation of a Danish district cooling utility expert
  • Business development opportunities in one of the world’s fastest-growing district cooling markets

Who should participate?

The visit is relevant to Danish companies working in district cooling, energy efficiency, system optimization, digital solutions, pumps, controls, pipes, heat exchangers, integrated urban infrastructure, and other technologies or services for large-scale cooling systems.
