Join DBDH, the Royal Danish Embassy in Prague, and the Czech District Heating Association for a Danish District Heating Road Show to Czechia.
The Czech district heating sector is entering a major phase of transformation. District heating serves around 4 million people, approximately 40% of the Czech population, and the sector is facing significant investments as it moves away from coal and towards lower-emission, renewable, and more flexible energy solutions.
This creates a strong opportunity for Danish district heating companies with solutions within biomass, waste-to-energy, large heat pumps, renewable CHP, heat storage, smart energy systems, energy efficiency, and system integration.
During the roadshow, Danish companies will meet Czech district heating utilities, municipalities, and key sector stakeholders through workshops, roundtable discussions, and site visits in Prague, Pilsen, and Brno.

Program overview
6 October – Prague
The road show begins in Prague with a district heating workshop with representatives from district heating companies in the Prague region.
The program includes:
- introduction to the sustainable transformation of district heating in Denmark
- presentation of the Czech district heating sector, transformation paths, and priorities
- presentations from Czech district heating companies
- presentations from participating Danish companies
- Q&A and discussion on technology proposals
- site visit to the Třeboradice Heating Plant
- stakeholder dinner
- transfer to Pilsen
7 October – Pilsen
The second day focuses on the Pilsen region and includes a workshop with Plzeňská teplárenská and district heating utilities from the region.
The program includes:
- presentation of Plzeňská teplárenská
- presentation of Danish district heating experience and know-how
- presentations from Czech regional utilities
- presentations from participating Danish companies
- Q&A and discussion on technology proposals
- site visit to ZEVO Chotíkov
- networking lunch with workshop participants
- transfer to Brno
8 October – Brno
The final day takes place in Brno with Teplárny Brno and district heating utilities from the region.
The program includes:
- workshop with Teplárny Brno
- presentation of Brno’s district heating transformation and investment plans
- presentations from Czech district heating companies
- presentations from participating Danish companies
- Q&A and discussion on technology proposals
- site visit to Teplárny Brno – Červený mlýn
- transfer to Prague Airport
Participation fee
The participation fee will be informed upon request. It is co-financed by the Danish Trade Council. A de minimis declaration is required.
The fee includes planning and coordination by DBDH and the Danish Embassy, bus transfer in Czechia for up to two representatives, one networking lunch, and one dinner with Czech utilities.
Accommodation, other meals, and the brewery visit are self-paid.
