DBDH is pleased to welcome a delegation from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG), Bureau of Port and Harbor, to Denmark for a study tour focused on sustainable urban energy systems, district heating, and climate planning.
The visit will provide the delegation with insight into the Danish experience with district heating and the integration of energy infrastructure into urban development and climate strategies.
Focus of the study tour
During the program, the delegation will meet with representatives from DBDH, HOFOR, and the City of Copenhagen to exchange knowledge on district heating, sustainable city development, and decarbonisation.
The program will include:
- Introduction to the Danish district heating sector by DBDH
- Meeting with HOFOR on district heating planning, operation, and future developments
- Discussions with the City of Copenhagen on climate policy and sustainable urban development
- Visit to CopenHill, Copenhagen’s landmark waste-to-energy facility
Knowledge exchange on sustainable urban development
The study tour provides an opportunity to share the Danish experience on how district heating can contribute to decarbonisation, energy efficiency, and sustainable city development.
It will also support dialogue on how integrated energy infrastructure can contribute to climate planning and the long-term development of cities and urban waterfront areas.
Participants
The delegation includes senior officials from the Bureau of Port and Harbor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, accompanied by advisors from Japan Environment Systems Co., Ltd.
