John Flørning

I have more than 30 years of experience in the energy sector, with a specific focus on holistic district energy planning and, in recent 15 years, on electrification.

My technical experience includes district energy planning, decarbonization strategies, energy supply technologies screening and selection, heating and cooling storage strategies, scenario planning and modeling, and project financial analysis. My focus is on developing flexible, resilient, and cost-efficient energy systems.

I have worked with State Agencies in New York, many higher education institutions, and municipal and industrial clients on energy master plans focusing on decarbonization, electrification, and transitioning from fossil fuels to alternative low-carbon energy supply technologies.
