Grundfos iGRID wins at the German Innovation Awards for Climate and Environment (IKU) 2022

We are happy to announce that Grundfos has received the award “Process Innovation for Climate Protection” at the German “Award for Innovation for Climate and Environment (IKU) 2022”.

Grundfos iGRID is a solution that makes it possible to divide district heating networks into individual zones. Intelligent real-time data collection and evaluation make it possible to adapt the energy supply in these zones more specifically to the needs and simultaneously lower the temperature. By reducing the flow temperatures, you can save CO2 emissions, use alternative energy sources, and extend the life of the cables.

The “Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection” presented the award. The respected Fraunhofer Institute had been involved in the jury selection process.

iGRID can significantly contribute to the green energy transition by reducing carbon emissions in district heating systems and improving the conditions for efficient utilization of surplus energy sources.
