Their main operators\, Termoelectrica in Chișinău and CET-Nord in Bălți serve around 500.000 and 33.000 consumers\, respectively. Currently they are implementing large-scale modernization projects with international financing. Join the Danish Pavilion and meet with more than 150 Ukrainian municipalities\, the representatives of the financial institutions\, donors and the Ukrainian state.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nDanish Pavilion returns to ReBuild Ukraine\n\n\n\nDBDH\, in collaboration with Dansk Industri\, is once again co-organizing the Danish Pavilion at the ReBuild Ukraine exhibition. Building on the strong foundation from last year’s successful event\, the 2025 edition will take place on 13–14 November in Warsaw. It serves nearly 16 million Polish citizens\, i.e.\, about 52% of the households. \n\n\n\nCurrently\, there are about 400 heating companies licensed by the Energy Regulatory Office (URE). Approximately 61% of plants are fired with hard coal. The length of the Polish district heating network is 22800 km. The share of heat produced from district heating plants amounts to 65%.Polish district heating sector faces challenges to improve energy efficiency and phase out from fossil fuels.  \n\n\n\nThe basic goals for the heating sector in the coming years and assumptions for the heating strategy will include new design temperatures for determining power & heat demand\, maintenance and development of district heating systems – by 2040 all district heating systems should meet the criteria according to the EED\, indicating the new role of cogeneration in modern heating systems – using the effect of high electricity prices in the power system and integration of heating with power engineering – effective use of surplus electricity from RES for heat production. \n\n\n\nAt this moment the new district heating strategy for Poland has not been released but there are many individual transformation strategies in the district heating companies based on FIT 55! \n\n\n\nThe sector will strive to make the most of renewable energy sources through the implementation of new technologies\, e.g.\, waste heat\, solar collectors\, heat pumps\, geothermal sources. Numerous modernization and investment activities are expected to be undertaken. \n\n\n\nThe investment processes is supported by funds available within National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The National Fund for Environmental Protection continues the program “Effective heating and cooling systems” with the budget of PLN 500 mln (EUR 125 mln). They are directed to the sector of local heating companies. \n\n\n\nThe major expected outcome of the Road Show will be the heating/cooling knowledge and technology transfer from Denmark to Poland\, contributing to the Danish export increase in the district heating market. \n\n\n\nThe Road Show – who will you meet?\n\n\n\nDuring the meetings we expect the presence of local district heating utilities both heat suppliers and distribution companies together with representatives from the regional municipalities. \n\n\n\nVisiting Warszawa and three more cities will give you the full insight into the development plans and projects in the district heating sectors in this Northern part of Poland. The Danish case and success story of district heating will further be presented by an expert from Denmark\, Mr. Lars Gullev\, former Chairman of DBDH. \n\n\n\nYou will be able to present your solutions and technologies during the round table meetings\, and get into dialogue with the stakeholders in the sector. DESCRIPTION:Den 21. august 2025\, rullede DBDH’s Tour de Forsyning forbi Gudenådalens Energiselskab og Varmeværket i Bjerringbro til et inspirerende netværksmøde.\n\n\n\nVi blev taget godt imod af formand Allan Krantz Jensen og direktør Charles Winther Hansen\, som bød på kaffe\, wienerbrød og senere smørrebrød til netværksdelen.Indledningsvis bød Allan velkommen og gav en skarp status på udvikling af GUES\, som har været igennem en imponerende udvikling med 30% flere kunder over de sidste 4 år\, og har gang i mange spændende nye produktionsteknologier\, såsom ATES\, varmepumpe på spildevand\, røggaskøling og senest en elkedel samt et batterilager til eget strømforbrug. \n\n\n\nGUES har samtidig formået at sænke fremløbstemperaturen væsentligt\, og derved sparer kunderne rigtig mange penge. Dette kan lade sig gøre\, idet GUES investerer i mange nye teknologier fra mange af DBDHs teknologimedlemmer. DESCRIPTION:In early March a delegation from the Baltic District Heating sector will visit us on a study tour. The tour will focus on latest district heating and cooling solutions and green transition in the sector.\n\n\n\nWe cooperate closely with the Latvian District Heating Association (LDHA) and Estonian Power & Heat Association (EPHA)\, to select the most relevant Baltic district heating utilities to visit Denmark\, and we already have confirmed interest from major district heating utilities in both countries – and expect more to follow. \n\n\n\nWe expect a delegation of up to 20 representatives – decision makers who wish to learn more about the latest developments in the Danish district heating sector and are ready to exchange experience with the aim to transfer this knowledge into the Baltic heating sector. During the tour in Denmark\, the delegation will get acquainted with the efficient system solutions within our sector. By participating\, you will get direct connections to people in the Baltic DH sector who are responsible for their DH investments. These potential customers are the direct access to expand Danish DH export opportunities to Latvia and Estonia. \n\n\n\nThe interest from the Baltic side will be to see all aspects on highly efficient district heating systems in Denmark\, and how to transfer and use the Danish experience in their country. We offer you an opportunity to influence the program by suggesting places to visit\, things to experience\, content etc. The aim is to use the tour to showcase and promote your technologies and solutions in the best possible surroundings – at the Danish utilities where they are in use. \n\n\n\nPreliminary Program (in brief)\n\n\n\nThe visit will kick off with a B2B Workshop with focus on 4-5 relevant DH themes\, B2B meetings\, networking and knowledge sharing with the delegation\, and continue with site visits to Danish utilities. DESCRIPTION:DBDH and the Danish Embassy in London are co-organising a UK study tour to Denmark. A delegation will visit Denmark to study sector integration\, low-temperature DH\, multiple heat sources\, digitalization and much more. The tour will take the delegation to several DH companies and municipalities in and around Copenhagen.\n\n\n\nThis time we invite up to 30 persons from municipalities\, people responsible for heating at universities\, housing associations etc (e.g. L&Q\, Clarion Housing)\, and not least from the commercial energy companies (e.g. Bring Energy\, Vital Energi\, 1Energy\, SSE\, E.ON\, and Gren Group). Participating Danish companies are welcome to suggest others and we will invite them as well. \n\n\n\nMarket development in the UK\n\n\n\nThe British government expect the UK DH market to develop from 13 TWh in 2020 to nearly TWh 100 in 2050. DESCRIPTION:Join the road show in the Netherlands the 9-10th December 2024. We will visit four of the leading district heating operators – Vattenfall\, HVC\, WarmteStad and SVP.\n\n\n\nThe purpose is to learn from Dutch and Danish DH experiences and create partnerships between Danish and Dutch stakeholders. The Danish team will be supported by a manager from a Danish DH company. \n\n\n\nAt each visit we will have a workshop where you will be introduced to future investments plans but also some of the challenges they are facing. Your company will be invited to present solutions to some of the challenges of the Dutch district heating companies and to be active in the workshops. DESCRIPTION:DBDH and the Trade Council in DACH are organizing a joint Danish stand at HEATEXPO 2024\, where the German district heating meets in Dortmund on 26-28 November.\n\n\n\nHEATEXPO is\, first and foremost\, a trade fair for innovative heating technologies\, and the focus is on business between visitors and exhibitors. The visitors at HEATEXPO are energy suppliers\, municipal utilities\, engineering companies\, municipalities/cities\, and housing associations. You can meet the right target groups for your products\, services\, and innovations here. The exhibition hall will also have a conference with speakers and panel discussions. We have secured a spot for Danish participating companies as well as a speaking slot for a Danish district heating expert from a Danish district heating company. \n\n\n\nWe will present a joint Danish stand to showcase Danish heating solutions. Joining in helps your company connect with Germany’s heating sector. Being part of the Danish district heating brand\, known for its quality\, will catch the eye of the German audience\, who already trust Danish district heating solutions.
