District heating is expanding rapidly\, supported by new legislation requiring at least 51% public or consumer ownership in newly established systems – a model inspired directly by Denmark. \n\n\n\nDutch municipalities are responsible for local heat planning and are actively seeking practical solutions that can be demonstrated in the Danish district heating sector. Danish companies are therefore uniquely positioned to contribute\, and this delegation visit offers a strong platform for direct dialogue with key decision makers. \n\n\n\nKey themes and focus areas\n\n\n\n\nElectrification of district heating (large heat pumps\, electric boilers\, thermal storage)\n\n\n\nSystem integration across technologies\n\n\n\nGovernance and municipal–utility cooperation\n\n\n\nLarge scale heat planning and conversion of gas heated areas\n\n\n\nLow temperature district heating and energy efficiency\n\n\n\n\nBenefits for Participating Danish Companies\n\n\n\n\nEngage directly with Dutch municipal and utility leadership\n\n\n\nPresent solutions during thematic workshops\n\n\n\nJoin site visits and technical discussions\n\n\n\nParticipate in the joint networking dinner with the delegation\n\n\n\nGain insight into upcoming Dutch investment needs and opportunities\n\n\n\n\nPractical details\n\n\n\nThe programme will feature visits to leading district heating companies and innovative technology sites\, primarily located in Jutland and on Funen. The programme is designed to be flexible\, and you are welcome to suggest relevant site visits along the route. The final programme will be shared in May. \n\n\n\nFor more information\, please contact:
