SUMMARY:Denmark | Baltic Delegation Visit | Study Tour
DESCRIPTION:In early March a delegation from the Baltic District Heating sector will visit us on a study tour. The tour will focus on latest district heating and cooling solutions and green transition in the sector.\n\n\n\nWe cooperate closely with the Latvian District Heating Association (LDHA) and Estonian Power & Heat Association (EPHA)\, to select the most relevant Baltic district heating utilities to visit Denmark\, and we already have confirmed interest from major district heating utilities in both countries – and expect more to follow. \n\n\n\nWe expect a delegation of up to 20 representatives – decision makers who wish to learn more about the latest developments in the Danish district heating sector and are ready to exchange experience with the aim to transfer this knowledge into the Baltic heating sector. During the tour in Denmark\, the delegation will get acquainted with the efficient system solutions within our sector. By participating\, you will get direct connections to people in the Baltic DH sector who are responsible for their DH investments. These potential customers are the direct access to expand Danish DH export opportunities to Latvia and Estonia. \n\n\n\nThe interest from the Baltic side will be to see all aspects on highly efficient district heating systems in Denmark\, and how to transfer and use the Danish experience in their country. We offer you an opportunity to influence the program by suggesting places to visit\, things to experience\, content etc. The aim is to use the tour to showcase and promote your technologies and solutions in the best possible surroundings – at the Danish utilities where they are in use. \n\n\n\nPreliminary Program (in brief)\n\n\n\nThe visit will kick off with a B2B Workshop with focus on 4-5 relevant DH themes\, B2B meetings\, networking and knowledge sharing with the delegation\, and continue with site visits to Danish utilities. SUMMARY:Bangkok | South-East Asia District Cooling Conference 2024
DESCRIPTION:Asia Urban Energy Assembly – Towards a NetZero Future in the Asia Pacific\n\n\n\nDBDH partner\, the Asian Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA)\, organizes a district cooling conference with a focus on South-East at the annual ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week\, which is a well-established event and one of ASEAN’s most prominent international exhibition and conference on Renewable Energy\, Energy Efficiency\, Energy Storage\, Environmental and Electric Vehicle Technology. \n\n\n\nThe district cooling conference offers a great platform to meet\, network\, exhibit\, and obtain knowledge of the energy markets in ASEAN. \n\n\n\nThe 3rd edition of the Asia Urban Energy Assembly is scheduled as a two-day international conference from July 4th to 5th at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok\, Thailand. \n\n\n\nIn 2023\, ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week attracted over 28\,000 visitors from 61 countries\, including 6\,600 conference delegates\, establishing itself as a premier platform in the region for updates on market developments\, technologies\, financing\, and project opportunities. \n\n\n\nWith most countries in the Asia-Pacific region aiming for net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) targets by 2050\, this year’s Asia Urban Energy Assembly is themed “Towards a Net Zero Future in the Asia-Pacific.” It aims to present\, discuss\, and explore energy solutions conducive to the energy transition\, aiding countries in meeting their climate objectives. \n\n\n\nRenewable Energy resources in the APAC region are abundant\, with Southeast Asia alone boasting 17.2 TW of available Renewable Energy resources. For instance\, harnessing just 1% of Thailand’s Solar PV resources could meet the country’s total power production capacity of 49 GW. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAddressing the world’s escalating cooling demand is crucial to achieving climate targets. Currently\, space cooling accounts for 10% of global GHG emissions\, and without intervention\, the demand is projected to triple by 2050 due to rising temperatures\, population growth\, and economic expansion. The bulk of this demand emanates from Asia\, where cooling is often referred to as the “elephant in the waiting room” due to its pivotal role in the energy transition. It’s imperative to act swiftly to tackle this challenge. \n\n\n\nThe 3rd edition of the Asia Urban Energy Assembly will explore how both public and private sectors can prepare for the future by leveraging current technologies and solutions to enhance energy efficiency and integrate more renewable energy into society. \n\n\n\nAdditionally\, the event will delve into the role of District Energy systems as a crucial tool in addressing the burgeoning cooling demand in the Asia Pacific region. Anticipated attendees include energy professionals from the public and private sectors\, encompassing utilities\, government officials\, policymakers\, developers\, consultants\, investors\, international organizations\, universities\, and more. \n\n\n\nThe event is hosted by APUEA and Informa Markets. \n\n\n\nDownload the event brochure here \n\n\n\nDo you want to join?\n\n\n\nInterested in joining please contact Lars at lh@dbdh.dk The participation fee will be informed upon request. \n\n\n\n#districtcooling #apuea #southeastasia
