SUMMARY:Belgium | Euroheat & Power Summit 2026 | Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Euroheat & Power Summit is a high-level\, not-to-be-missed policy event\, gathering 200+ attendees and offering key insights into EU legislation and emerging trends shaping Europe’s heating and cooling sector. \n\n\n\nThis year\, the Summit comes at a defining moment for Europe’s energy transition.\n\n\n\nIn July 2026\, the European Commission unveiled its “Electrification Action Plan”\, a strategy to make the European Union the “first electro-continent”.It is no coincidence that it calls for scaling up district heating and cooling networks. Large heat pumps\, e-boilers\, thermal storage\, waste heat and local renewable heat sources are a golden opportunity to bring efficiency and flexibility to an increasingly electrified energy system. In other words\, we need to think bigger\, to electrify better! To tap into these benefits\, the EU has set a deployment trajectory to supply 15% of the EU’s heat demand with district heating by 2030\, with 7% annual growth in EU Member States. \n\n\n\nThe target is clear\, but how do we get there?\n\n\n\nThe conversation starts at the Euroheat & Power Summit 2026 on 3–4 November. Join us to meet high-level policymakers and industry leaders\, have impactful conversations\, hear inspirational keynotes\, and gain fresh perspectives on the heating and cooling transition! \n\n\n\nHighlights of the Summit include:\n\n\n\n\nJoint interview with Energy and Housing Commissioner Dan Jørgensen and Donna Gartland\, CEO of Codema and 2026 European Sustainable Energy Award winner\n\n\n\nPerspectives from policy and industry leaders\, including Lukasz Kolinski (DG ENER)\, Frederik Ceulemans (City of Brussels)\, Christian Feuerherd (BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH)\, Luca Rigoni (A2A) and Marie Carlo (Fraîcheur de Paris)\n\n\n\nExclusive insights on the upcoming EU Waste Heat Initiative\, Cooling and Heating Action Plan\, post-2030 framework and ETS revision\n\n\n\nFriendly networking with 200+ peers from the sector\n\n\n\nAn iconic After-Work: “Winter Is Coming!”\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister | EHP Summit\n\n\n\nAgenda | EHP Summit

SUMMARY:France | Visit to Southern France | Study Tour
DESCRIPTION:Explore opportunities in the growing French district heating market\n\n\n\nFrance is accelerating the development of district heating as part of its transition towards a low-carbon heat supply – creating new opportunities for Danish technology\, know-how and experience. \n\n\n\nIn collaboration with the Danish Embassy in Paris\, DBDH invites Danish companies to join a delegation visit to Toulouse in southern France. \n\n\n\nThe visit builds on the Danish state visit to France in 2025 and the strengthened bilateral cooperation on district heating. The ambition is clear: to bring Danish companies closer to the French market and create direct dialogue with cities\, utilities\, decision-makers\, and technical experts working with concrete heat network projects. Focus areas include low-temperature networks\, digitalisation\, surplus heat\, and citizen engagement. The visit supports France’s green transition and offers Danish companies direct access to a growing market. \n\n\n\nWhy Toulouse?\n\n\n\nLocated in south-west France\, Toulouse\, the “Pink City\,” is the 4th largest city in France\, with a metropolitan area of more than 800 000 inhabitants. It has adopted an ambitious plan to develop renewable and local energy. \n\n\n\nThe Metropolitan Area has three existing district heating and cooling networks and one new network currently under development. The energy supply is highly diversified\, with a mix of heat from incineration\, biomass\, geothermal energy\, and waste heat from data centres. Each network delivers from 12 GWh per year for the smallest to 160 GWh per year for the largest. This makes Toulouse a highly relevant meeting point for discussing how Danish technologies and experience can support the next generation of French heat networks. \n\n\n\nWhat to expect\n\n\n\nThe program will combine site visits\, networking and targeted workshops with local and regional stakeholders. \n\n\n\nParticipants can expect opportunities to: \n\n\n\n\nMeet French cities\, heat network operators and other key market players\n\n\n\nVisit local district heating projects and discuss current challenges\n\n\n\nPresent Danish solutions and relevant cases\n\n\n\nExchange experience with French technical experts and decision-makers\n\n\n\nIdentify concrete areas for future cooperation and business development\n\n\n\n\nA digital introduction meeting will be organised ahead of the visit\, giving Danish and French participants an opportunity to meet and help shape the discussions. \n\n\n\nThe final program will be developed together with our French partners to ensure a strong match between local project needs and the competencies of the Danish delegation. \n\n\n\nTopics in focus\n\n\n\nThe dialogue is expected to cover areas where French stakeholders are showing particular interest in Danish experience\, including: \n\n\n\nLow-temperature district heatingHow networks can be designed and operated efficiently at lower temperatures. \n\n\n\nDigitalisation and optimisationUsing data\, monitoring and intelligent control to improve network performance. \n\n\n\nSurplus and recovered heatIdentifying and integrating local heat sources into district heating systems. \n\n\n\nGeothermal energy and renewable heatCombining local renewable resources with efficient district heating infrastructure. \n\n\n\nSector couplingCreating stronger links between electricity\, renewable energy production and heat. \n\n\n\nGovernance and project developmentExperience with planning\, ownership\, cooperation and developing robust heat network projects. \n\n\n\nConsumers and citizen engagementBuilding trust\, transparency and support for new district heating schemes. \n\n\n\nWhy join?\n\n\n\nFor Danish companies\, this is not simply a market briefing. It is an opportunity to meet potential partners and customers in their own market and discuss solutions around real projects and needs. \n\n\n\nBy participating as a Danish delegation\, companies can demonstrate not only individual technologies and services\, but also how Danish district heating expertise works as an integrated system. \n\n\n\nWhether you are already active in France or looking to enter the market\, the visit offers an opportunity to strengthen your network\, better understand the French market and position your company for future projects. \n\n\n\nWho should join?\n\n\n\nThe visit is relevant for Danish companies and organisations across the district heating value chain\, including technology suppliers\, consultants\, engineering companies\, energy companies and solution providers working with heat production\, networks\, digitalisation\, system integration and planning. \n\n\n\nJoin the delegation\n\n\n\nInterested in developing your business in France?
