November 18 – November 19
On 18-19 November 2025, The Danish Embassies in Chisinau and in Bucharest together with DBDH will arrange a joint delegation visit to explore the significant opportunities emerging in Moldova’s district heating sector.
As an EU candidate country, Moldova is committed to increasing energy independence and accelerating its green transition. With EUR 232 million in current international funding, and another EUR 326 million expected soon, the market is actively seeking innovative and sustainable solutions.
Chișinău and Bălți, Moldova’s two largest municipalities, account for 99% of the country’s district heating consumption. Their main operators, Termoelectrica in Chișinău and CET-Nord in Bălți serve around 500.000 and 33.000 consumers, respectively.
Currently they are implementing large-scale modernization projects with international financing. Several tenders are already open, with more opportunities to follow in the months ahead.
Hence, this is an excellent time to engage and be part of this exciting development!
The program will include:
- 18 November – Site visits to key district heating utilities
- 19 November – Conference, workshops, and a gala dinner with local stakeholders
A detailed program and formal registration will follow in August, and we will also host an online pre-meeting with Ambassador Søren Jensen to provide further insight into the Moldovan market and expectations for the visit.
If you are interested in taking part, we encourage you to save the dates in your calendar!
We look forward to an inspiring and rewarding visit and hope to see many of you in Moldova this November.
