DBDH will together with you be a sponsor of the event and thereby secure a strong promotion of the participating companies.
Furthermore, the 30th of October, DBDH will together with APUEA organize a visit to one of the larger district cooling projects in India and thereby secure direct dialogue with one of the main DC stakeholders (customer) in India. The site will be announced medio September.
Background for the conference
A “cooling storm is in the making” in India and it is expected that cooling demand will increase with 500% from today and until 2038 and the need for space cooling will account for 74% of the total cooling demand. This will put an enormous pressure on the power grid and the installment of DC will save up to 50% of the peak load demand for power and provide 40% saving on investments in chillers.
District Cooling Systems (DCS) that can help meeting the cooling requirement of multiple buildings reducing the overall space and equipment requirement can pose as an alternative solution to the conventional standalone system currently being used. DCS has proven to reduce GHG emissions as well as contribute towards India’s energy efficiency targets under multiple international protocols and treaties.
Therefore, it is expected that investments in district cooling will explode the coming years in India. See more in the power points from GIFT City and AEEE.
